About the draw... Just a quick look at today's schedule, to compare with other players who are probably going to reach R3.
The rankings of these players' opponents:
Gasquet's opponent, Klahn: 489.
Djokovic's opponent, Rogerio Dutra Silva: 112.
Wawrinka's opponent, Darcis: 74
Benneteau's opponent, Novikov: 1084
Tipsarevic's opponent, Baker: 70
Sijsling is ranked 78. So yes, it is an easy match up for Ferrer, but it's not like it's an exception...
