Rumours going round that Brooklyn might be pregnant. I wish him all the best in the future and fingers crossed he'll do some commentary, punditry in the future. HE HAS THE TALENT. He is the KING of pressers and always will be.
God the game will miss him.

I think what everyone is essentially saying is Rod has great personality that's engaging. Best player by no means, but he made things interlining to his credit. He'll be great in commentary. I have no doubt we will be hearing from him in the future.

Davydenko was getting good back then, and Henman was always shit, so it wasn't surprising I guess

Hewitt won the first set vs. Safin 6-1 in the final though, he looked like he could do it.....
How dare you!!!!! Henman had just come off a GOAT 2004, I was confident, alas he was fucked in the ass , all season long

Thank God Safin stopped him after that shit first set. It would have been the flukiest fucking run ever to bag a GS if Hewitt won the match
GOAT 2004? He got buttsexed at TMC to finish the year . Still though, he collapsed so epically after 04

Hewitt was the benefactor of the lapse in the game after Sampras was pretty much done, Agassi was still getting out of his drug haze etc. Right place right time before Fed and Nadal emerged. Who's the next great is really the interesting question.

Re: Andy Roddick
Won't be the same without him. I saw him at Queens in 2011, and several times in practice at Wimbledon - even lately when he hasn't been doing so well he was always a big star to the fans there.

That was my experience as well when i was on gig there for 6 weeks a few years ago. Talk tennis over pints did't get you very far...despite the fact in Melbourne the Rod Laver complex was within viewing distance.

Re: Andy Roddick's Career
Andy Roddick had a fine career but I'll always feel he could have done more. Especially if he kept Brad Gilbert as his coach long term. We know Roger Federer was largely responsible for keeping Roddick's grand slam total down to 1. But I'll always feel Roddick could have done more. It's the same way I feel about Marat Safin's career. Both will end up in the International Tennis Hall of fame someday.
