We'll find out where he goes from here then. The best player he's ever faced (much better than early 08 Nadal) and he was too much for him. His goal now is to come back and get to play Big Bad Fed again.

This is a fine showing, actually, better than I was expecting.
9 games is an improvement from recent performances.
Gotta get it together mentally and improve fitness.

You can rest easy, nobody sane can ever compare Olderer to Mugray, it would be like comparing a nice juicy steak for dinner to a steaming pile of dogshit.

Routine for Roger, he didn't have to even get out of third gear.

What would I be crying over exactly? Young's loss? I would have drown by now crying over his losses. I've never liked him because of his attitude. That doesn't mean he wouldn't benefit from a different coaching team.

Re: US Open R1: Federer def Young 6-3, 6-2, 6-4
Fed played a below average match, perhaps because of the slow surface. He has no chances against strong defensive players like Murray and Djokovic while spraying errors like this.

Re: US Open R1: Federer def Young 6-3, 6-2, 6-4
Routinerer, I think Roger played very good, just when the match was going too easy he relaxed and started to make more UEs, that's normal in Roger, looking good to me. Also there was a lot of humidity and he was sweating a lot, he looked uncomfortable with that sometimes.

exactly, and also when he is playing an easy match like this one, he relax a little bit and starts to try new things, to search the point too fast like saying if it goes in good and if not..good too.

He just needs to work his way back.

True.
Federer was merely trying out the court speed and his shots. It's not worth trying to run around to get every point in round 1 against a player like young.
