I watched the interview, FEDERER never said we, for of us? he just said NO at once, and stated that you can't compare eras, that was all.

It's all about the here and now. The cash cow 'big 4' and homogenized surfaces set up to ensure these personalities are contesting the big SFs and raking in the moolah.
There's some great matches here and there but a distinct lack of depth as you go down the rankings compared to other periods.
