Re: Do you think this era will be remembered as a subpar era? (Era debate)
this is a disgusting homogenized era perpetuated by slow courts and retrieving grind fests with no variety
awful for the game, and bad for the future of tennis
i think this covers all the main points

You forgot one major point.
"awful for the game, and bad for the future of tennis" and good for the ATP's pockets.

It`s weak era, but it doesn`t mean to be subpar though. Just weak.

Re: Do you think this era will be remembered as a subpar era? (Era debate)
It has Federer, Murray and, as much as it pains me to say it, Nadal and Djokovic. One is the greatest player to ever play the game, another is the greatest clay courter of all time in achievements, the other has 5 slams and the last is the first Brit to win a slam in 70+ years and is consistently challenging the other 3 throughout the year. This era will be remember, that's for sure, and as a strong one.
They're probably the most dominant top 4 of all time and not because everyone else sucks. They're just too good (Nadal and Djokovic may have horrific games but it works for them).

Being British has nothing to do with how great you are.

if sampras would play in this era....
that.
I think that if pistol pete would play in this era he still win many of his slams and titles , it`s true than the surfaces are much more slower , but I am sure than he would win more than 10 grand slams.
if he would faces nole , nadal and murray in the 2003-2007 period in where the courts were much more faster than now I think that sampy would win the most part of the matches , and if is in the period 2008-2012 maybe he would lose more matches but I think that he is capable to defeat the actual top-4 too.
I am sure than agassi would win many titles in this era even more than in the 90s , because for me , he was much better agressive baseliner than djokocic and murray and was a perfect player for slow hardcourts.

Agassi better than Djokovic?
Being able to run is pretty important in tennis, you know.

Lol. Sampras and Agassi would be lucky to grab one slam.
