Well some folks were saying it's particularly fast this year...not true. Nole debunked that notion. He should know. I'm sure he has insider knowledge.

I can't remember a time when the Us Open was as quick as Cincy (if it ever happened) then I would have said the same as Novak without knowing anything

Slow or Fast Fed is strong. Last year so slow and Fed hold MPs.

Come on,please stop that! The mugs make all surfaces slower and slower over years. I bet it's Don Tonino's long term plan to make Nadal the undisputed GOAT.

Yup, another "mistake" if true. What a coincidence. I'm sure Matt will be here any minute to tell us that AO and USO are the same speed, as well as all other HCs. He'd probably be right in a couple of years when they'll all be blue-clay slow as the AO .

It will be obvious for me to compare after watching Raonic`s first match or Tsonga`s as well. Or vice versa - we will see how Monaco and Granollers would play.

Surely it would benefit everyone to publish the results of some kind of standardised ball reaction test with the particular balls and courts at each tournament. Kind of like what they do in golf with green speeds.

Toni does not think so. I'd be careful if I was you. Stating such dangerous ideas can really get you into trouble with the Tio.

But are the balls more lively at the US Open.
