Sorry mate you seem like you're a fan of Ullrich but its unlikely he was clean. Especially since he rode on Team Telekom with Riis, Zabel and Aldag.

So true, Smoke. People shouldn't hate Lance because he was the most talented cheat in a sport of cheats

Not really that either. Biggest name to be caught doping is someone else, most prolific winner also.

I wonder if there's more names doping but has ways to cover it up until (if ever) they will be caught

No doubt lance's doping is destructive to cycling just like if fed will be found doping, it will ruin tennis for years.
Not that he is using, it's pure talent but he is to tennis what lance is to cycling...

Btw- now that they took the titles, what about the money? He needs to give it back?

Won more than others? Is that a joke? He only raced one race a year, so how could he have won more than others?

What Fed is to tennis? lol I guess it should be the first time on these boards that I should defend Fed, lol.
No.

Why decent fed? Maybe I wasn't explaining myself, I wanted to say that lance to cycling is what fed is to tennis or something close to it, big big named and that it's a big shock when their image is hurt.

No. Doping does not affect everyone in the same way. You clearly have little clue about the world of professional sports if you can make such a simplistic argument.

And comparing Armstrong to Federer is a bit of a joke. Just like tennis, cycling is an year-round sport (even though it has a longer off-season - ~4 months). If Fed was the Armstrong of cycling, he'd play Halle and some MM events to get a rhythm and then play (and win) Wimbledon 7 times in a row. For the rest of the year he'd have to be "away" from the sport. We all know that Fed has not missed a slam since before some members on here were born.

It's quite amazing to what extent Cheatstrong has convinced the American folk (casual fans, I mean) who quite clearly didn't know much (and still don't tbh) about the world of professional cycling (and its traditions) that he was some sort of once-in-a-thousand-years athlete when many before him won a lot of Tours and participated in the other big two tours at the same time (sometimes even won those as well).

The fact is, success in DC is largely determined by what country you come from or play for in the first place, which most players haven't had any control over.

I was comparing fed and lance as big names to the sport they practice.

Tennis is longer and very different.

I hope I'm more clear.

Nothing against you, I was just correcting a misconception I saw from an earlier discussion .
