You mean anyone currently or in the history of the game?

I'd say Nadal at his peak is a very daunting prospect.

The margins between them at their prime is very small.

some posts here , i mean it's great to be huge fan, troll big time but if you from time to time don't post some reasonable objective post you will reach the level from where there is no return . to give you example how deluded are some posts here is like I am pointing out that Fed is greater clay courter than Nadal is. Hope this helps

Djokovic impressed me a lot in WTF. He put himself clearly as the best player of 2012, he definitely deserved it.

He's clearly the Federer's successor. He will probably add a few more slam titles in his resume, despite the fact that Del Po, Murray will be a threat in the future (maybe Nadal if he came back, perhaps Federer in 2013, 2014 max)

His success, despite being already great, would be even greater if he hadn't "wasted" 2009 and 2010 in such an ugly way. I still can't figure how he managed to lose this USO final. Against an awesome Murray, it would be okay, but to losr against a subpar Murray is bad. But overall, this season is still great. He has probably 2 or 3 more peak years but he might be able to win despite being past his prime (like Federer this year) considering his greatness and the probably weak era coming up.

If (a big if) Nadal doesn't come back, he might match his achievements. He has already two years at number one, like the spanish, he will probably have more weeks at number one soon, two WTF match the olympic gold, if he manage to win the French he will be not that far of him.

I think peak Djokovic vs Peak Federer (let's say, 2011 vs 2005), would be close. The thing is Federer was able to mantain his peak level for a much longer period of time.

This. Good post. He wasted 2 years that were supposed to be one of his best (09' and 10') but he may win untill an old age considering the future generations are pretty weak).

AO 50/50 (Federer is underrated there, in 2008 he was ill, in 2005 he played against an awesome Safin and still had matchs points, in 2009 and 2012, he was great despit his failures against his nemesis)
French 55/45 Djoko (Federer played better in 2011 against him than 95% of his matchs in this tournament, even in his peak years)
Wimbly 90/10 Sorry but it's a blowout here.
USO 60/40 Federer

Well, maybe 55/45 for Djokovic in the AO, but it would be really close i think.

Peak level of play for the Djoker in the AO: 2008 and 2011 Toss up.
Federer- AO: 2005 and 2007

A match against these too in this form would be unbelievable

Agree, but I would give a small edge to Djokovic in the AO. It would be 2 and 2 but Federer having a huge difference in Wimbledon.

Yes, it would be a fantastic match. Federer in 2005 played great there although he didn't win it (I remember how he demolished Agassi). Much better than in 2004 or 2006 despite he won those years.

And I thought obvious thought that WTF > OG was already explained clear by many great posters here. Well, this moment doesn`t change your correct position completely - Nole will have a chance to surpass Rafa, but he just doesn`t need to do it in this accomplishment in comparison. He hasn`t OG, Nadal hasn`t WTF - it should be comparable in achievements. If you want to equal holes with this method... Nole should take advantage overall.
