You always feel like a journeyman or a Baghdatis, Del Potro & Haas type will choke to Federer on every surface. I thought Swiss ballerinas were so cute to watch & worth the ticket price.

fail, this is the djokovic/federer debates thread, not federer/nadal. btw, djokovic also couldn't beat nadal at rg and is, 2-13 (fed 2-12) on clay against the spain...

Default Is the match still on Federer's racquet against Djokovic?

Judging by the WTF final I would say yes. You all know the details. 3-0 in the first set, 2 SP's in the second set etc. Federer has been struggling with confidence since the USO. It has been a long, emotional year for him. He clawed his way back during the indoor season and after the win against Murray I felt he almost had his confidence back, but not quite.

He didn't have the confidence to finish Djokovic when the opportunity presented itself. He clearly was good enough to win but didn't play the big points well. Even though he lost, I felt he still dominated proceedings and had the match on is racquet.

Discuss.

Yes it is. He should have won the match, and would have if he could have been Serverer for a few of the games.

Matches are generally in Federer's racket against anyone apart from Nadal.

Match points lost against injured Nole.
Schooled by Nole 90% of the time.

Trick shots from Nole on Nole's least favorite hardcourt in England.
Not even Nadal did that to anyone.

Too funny.
