I don't know because del potro may be a bit tired. And there had been talk he might withdraw the from the tournament.
Anyway I'm more worried about Roger. I don't really know if he will get enough time to prep for the US hardcourt season. He only has a week if he's playing Cincy. So I'm not really expecting Roger to win Cincy.
On the other hand I also don't see djokovic winning both tournaments. So I guess Roger will be #1 by the time the US Open starts.

Re: Federer 2012 > Djokovic 2012?
Hm, I think people will be surprised at Roger's form at Cincy. His form on HC was stellar this year (by his current standards) and the certainty of the ball bounce should help him. His serve is also firing off well and he's won the title in Cincy a few times by relying on it.
I am sure he should do well with a nice enough draw but let's wait and see.

- If ND has one win and one final (11,270), Roger just needs to reach the QF (11,345)

In other words the chances of it happening is 1%. Thanks for the info. Djoker isn't winning both events that much is pretty sure if Murray is playing. Roger will probably win Cincy anyway.

Re: Endless Djokovic/Federer Debates
There is no debate though. Federer is the greatest. Nole is not.

Re: Endless Djokovic/Federer Debates
Djesus > Olderer
Olderer got lucky this year's Wimbledon SF with his unfair serve and illegal one handed backhand. Also, Olderer played in mug era, with Nadal as his only rival (a well known moonballing clown)

Maybe Nole hasn't been as crafty as Roger; he hasn't picked smaller tournaments were he can win even more easily than he won in Canada. Look at the points earned by them this year:
TOTAL POINTS
1. Novak 8110
2. Roger 7545
GRAND SLAM POINTS
1. Novak 3920
2. Roger 3440
MASTERS POINTS
1. Novak 3740
2. Roger 2405
SMALLER TOURNAMENTS
1. Roger 1700
2. Nole 450
What Nole needs is probably better planning: finding smaller tournaments where he can win without even trying. Roger is the goat of planning. No argument there.

Federer 2012 is like Wozniacki as WTA No. 1 with the exception of an indoor slam.

Re: Endless Djokovic/Federer Debates - Year End Number 1
I'd prefer Nole. I've become accustomed to Noletards over 2011. Resurgent Fedtards coming out of the woodwork- it's too much.

Re: Endless Djokovic/Federer Debates - Year End Number 1
so u open a thread about an endless debate?
I personally think Djoko will be number 1 at the end of the year, but I'm really happy with what is happening right now, finally we see something interesting on the tour.
