Haha, you are right, I didn't notice! I was focusing too much on his beaming face.
And why did he have this face when he lost?

I don't remember if there was any particular story behind it though, maybe JM wasn't bothered too much by the result, as he was still kind of on the comeback trail back then and it was a high quality match. So he genuinely congratulated Nole on his winning streak?
You wouldn't be able to tell which won the match by their looks here either.
To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of Nole's smile after a loss, but it seems like these two can't help it. :-p

Re: Nolpotro Appreciation Thread
Glad to see more people hopping into the Nolpotro bandwagon I think we can agree that Nolpotro is definitely the best name, although some of the other suggestions were quite good themselves
They are always smiling after their matches because both are great sportsmen, but more importantly because they are genuinely great friends. Unlike most media fabricated friendships between top players, I believe Nole and Delpo are really great friends; they keep applauding each other's great shots during their matches and always hug affectionately at the net, they also used to exchange tweets while Delpo was off the tour. I hope that, with Delpo finally on the rise after his horrible injury and surgery, we get to see two contest a Slam final soon, it'd be awesome
For now though, they are drawn to play QF of Toronto next week. Kind of pisstaking that they're drawn to meet so early, but oh well at least another Nolpotro match, they're always great. Hope they both make it to the QF and whoever wins there goes all the way

Would also love a Nolpotro final in New York, would be awesome tennis for sure. Just really hope they're not drawn together in QF, that'd be terrible. Hope in these next 12 months Juan stays healthy and gets his ranking high enough to avoid meetings with Nole in QF.
But yeah, let us hope they are in opposites halves of the draw and both deliver
