Re: Olympics: Del Potro wins Bronze, beats Djokovic 7-5 6-4
Delpo quotes after the match:
Quote:
"I don't have the words to explain," Del Potro said. "It's similar to winning a Grand Slam (title) or maybe even bigger. It's amazing."
Del Potro had lost 3-6, 7-6 (5), 19-17 on Friday to Federer in the longest best-of-three set match in men's tennis in the Open era - 4 hours, 26 minutes.
"I think I'm the most happy of the world at this moment," Del Potro said. "After a really sad day two days ago, it's not easy to recover and to play these kind of matches."
Djokovic said he failed to capitalize on his chances, and that Del Potro deserved to win.
"Disappointing end, but I enjoyed it," the second-seeded Serb said. "It was a pleasure playing for my country."

Maybe because a king doesn't smile when being bowed to ... either that or he's trying to be the neutral referee in their game of rock, paper, scissors.

Congratulations to Del Potro, a very deserved medal! Played some unreal shots today, really went for it.
Djokovic is...well, what pissed me off was not his play (I reckon he plays the best he is able at the moment), but his attitude and on-court behaviour. He behaved like a petulant, prissy kid. Disgraceful.

Agreed. It was not in the Olympic spirit at all. But I understand him too, he wanted it too much and it just wouldn't come to him.
But, hey, if Federer has a shot in Rio, then Djokovic will surely have his as well

So will Nole change his diet again cause this is not working. He has not played like the champ he was for a few months now.

Re: Olympics: Del Potro wins Bronze, beats Djokovic 7-5 6-4
I'm happy to see Delpo win the Bronze after his great match against Fed.
t definitely meant a lot to him. Old Delpo is back.
Nole He seems to have lost his mojo the last couple months. He doesn't look confident, and looks stressed (maybe from all the expectations of repeating last year on his shoulders?). I think he will be better by the fall - no big results to defend.
