did you honestly watch the second set? where he had 3 MPs on Falla's serve, failed, then got broken, got BPs on Falla, failed and then got broken to lose it?

Re: OLY R1: (1) Fighterer (SUI) def. Falla (COL) 63 57 63
Federer got tight, but Falla raised his game and started returning Federer's serve much, much better. When Federer's first serve isn't doing damage, he's always going to struggle.

Re: OLY R1: (1) Fighterer (SUI) def. Falla (COL) 63 57 63
unlike 2010, Falla never let up, Roger had to lift up his game and clean his act to outplay Falla, which resulted in some spectacular rallies when they both were playing well
onwards and upwards Rog

I know you would've liked for Roger to lose but for reasons other than you state.
Roger you troll. 3 MPs in the second set and ends playing a 3rd. You should conserve energy not waste it.
Let's hope mugerer and wasterer have made their only appearence at the olympics.

Re: OLY R1: (1) Fighterer (SUI) def. Falla (COL) 63 57 63
Huge win really for Roger, this will help him more than a routine 6 3 6 3 (as it should have been today)
Roger hung in there and fended off an opponent who was getting hotter and hotter, its a good win to get under the belt.
Benny next rd will be just as tough, if not tougher, Roger needs to bring some sharp tennis throughout the match...
Anyway, onwards good luck Feds!
And also, to the majority of Fed "fans" who were berating the man so pathetically in the live commentary - shut up and F**K off.

I don't know what's worse - when Fed clowns around and causes me to call the hospital or when other "true" Fed fans start giving out lessons on how to be a real fan and "behave".
If you don't want to see what other people feel in real time, you can always avoid the live comm thread .

Re: OLY R1: (1) Fighterer (SUI) def. Falla (COL) 63 57 63
Great fight from Falla. Fed was clearly nervous throughout the match, and wasted shitloads of opportunities in the 2nd set, but Falla gritted his way through to steal it. From mid-way through the 3rd set, tennis was at an incredibly high level from both. Fed had to bring some of his best to finally end the match, and boy was there some great stuff. An entertaining match overall.
I just wish the Fedtards would stop their unnecessary whining in the LC

Good post.
I wish I could comment on the match but I barely saw shit thanks to the wonderful livestream. I'm just glad Roger is through and please play better in the next round.

The question of the century. Why is Federer trying to give all of his fans heart attacks?
