When it comes to backhand slices, Bernard Tomic is your man. This is the kinda guy who can slice bread with a tennis racquet and leave it in an edible state. Bernard's slice backhand isn't just a groundstroke; it's a complete overhaul of the very fundamentals and mechanics that build tennis. You thought Nadal could get high RPM? This thing has so much slice you'd swear you're playing in hurricane. Bernard's slice is the most lethal shot in sport. It'll hit you like a spiked drink in a Brisbane nightclub.
Great photos! All the tennis players were great - Nole really enjoyed himself and thank goodness they went for the nice red sweater rather than that scarf that had been in the other photos. He looked so happy. Sad that Rafa couldn't have carried it - think he's about the only one whose smile would have matched Nole's while doing the flag carrying. The Spanish outfits didn't end up looking that bad in the end and Serbia looked very good.
Marcos looked so cute and happy! The parade got really long and dull by the end but was good to have some familiar faces to look forward to!
Happy to hear this (I am Romanian). The outfits were designed by a fashion house owned by Ivan Patzaichin, a Romanian olympic legend (one of the metro stations in London was renamed after him for these OG)
I’ll never forget the last night's spectacle! The excitement, adrenaline, the atmosphere - everything was just perfect! A great, positive energy was felt among athletes, as well as among the massive audience. I haven’t felt anything like that in a long time and I'm still under the strong impression. It really gave us a special motivation boost for the start of the games. Andrija Zlatic won the first medal for our country! Let’s go Serbia!!! Idemo!
