Same here. Indian history took a long time to cover- so with world history, we were mostly taught about the English, French and American revolutions and the two world wars.

Thank you, HL. You were probably the only MTF poster who paid attention to my signatures.

Also, I feel like 5 is a bit too late. We Indians are well-known to be quite aggressive when it comes to educating our little ones. Maybe 2.5 is a better starting point.

There's a sudden melancholy mood that pervades this thread. When is your official last day, Hema? I will miss you and your awesome avatar/country flag combos.

Horrible display from us this match . Our bowlers cannot turn the ball while Swann was turning it like a square

I had an elective C-section

Only that in Romania, if you're 35 yo and have more than 8 classes education, C-section is not really elective

No, I meant it's almost mandatory, everybody has it. Patients escape the pain, doctors gets fat "presents", everybody's happy, it's how it works

But natural birth is better, no?

My cousin took the painkiller (epidural?) when she gave birth. She didn't want to at first but she said she couldn't take the pain.

Met a 20-year-old at my school's social tennis and he asked me if I had a "newly-found family" to go home to during Christmas, i.e. that I was married. I should stop telling people that I'm 26.

Too bad Gagsy is banned. Yeah, I don't see the sense in studying the various French constitutions. Good for general knowledge and showing off.

actually, polish constitution was the 1st in europe, 2nd in the world... they probably didn't teach you that who gives shit about poland

(actually it's fair enough, i know nothing about the constitution of singapore i only know that in south east asia it's dangerous to smuggle/use drugs and put rubbish on the street )
No, definitely didn't know Polish constitution is 2nd in the world. Gonna look it up on Wikipedia now. Did it go through much changes or is it like the American one, forever eternal and unchanging? Constitutional law in Singapore is non-existent at best and disastrous at worst. When it's at its absolute shit, it's a legal abomination. Thankfully the new Chief Justice seems to be interested in upholding the law and not bending to the ruling party so hopefully a change is around the corner.

For instance, we have this absolutely discriminatory law that penalises homosexual sex between men only. Someone was actually brave enough to mount a constitutional challenge of the law and the government tried to strike out the claim (too scared to fight ) and it went up to the highest court and THEY LOST. The challenge proper will be heard sometime within the next year I think. I hope justice prevails; I don't want to come from a country that blatantly discriminates against gay men.

On another note, how's school going for you?

Yup, Chinese history is too long as well. I don't even know much about it to be honest. Kinda sad that I know more about the Europeans than my own culture.

He knew you'd get all the answers right which was why he couldn't be bothered to send you the quiz.

good, just too much alcohol
my 1800 characters article for class had only 1 correction (which was really unnecessary, IMO) so it was the best of all students from what i gathered, but im not a small kid who doesnt know how to write, so i dont get too excited over it, rather would be scary if someone was better than me in anything.

tmrw i start working on 1st presentation

how is yours going? exams on sight?

Yay You're not a small kid who doesn't know how to write, but it's always nice to get confirmation that, yes, you're better than everyone else. do you have a lot of assignments?

Individual or group?

I had to do a presentation last week. It was so shit. I have a phobia of speaking in front of a group of people; my brain dies and I forget everything that i want to say so I just read from my notes.

Quote:

Exams in fucking late May and June which means I can only go for the first 3 days or so of RG. Just doing some silly "practice essay", or trying to do, which is due on Tuesday. And then there's another one on Kant due on Thursday which is definitely going to kill me; no idea what the question is about.

Natural birth - no C-section - is definitely better for the child, according to studies made, unless there is health danger doing it the normal way. So one hopes potential mother don't do this just to escape the pain. Even though one understands them if they do.

Epidurals don't hurt, as far as I know.
