It's 1 C? That means you must be really happy. Are you going to party hard this weekend?
GOOD NIGHT

Haha, I also hate dressing up for Halloween if I am going to a party. Meh.
Yes, I am happy. Also, it was like 21 C yesterday so this is better Crazy Michigan weather
And nope, I'm actually back at home. My parents wanted me to come home, so I did for the weekend. They get bored without me because I am an only child and they are both retired

Re: Attention Seekers Vol. 2012 - Bittersweet Symphony
New article and a helpful summary of everyone's responses.
http://myfox8.com/2012/10/26/chinese...-wins-lawsuit/ (link includes photos)
Quote:
A man from northern China who divorced and sued his wife earlier this year for being ugly has recently won the lawsuit.
Jian Feng said his issues with his wife’s looks only began after the couple’s daughter was born. Feng was appalled by the child’s appearance, calling her “incredibly ugly” and saying she resembled neither one of her parents.
With that being the case, Feng initially accused his wife of cheating. It was at that point that his wife, who has not been named, came forward, saying she had spent $100,000 on intense plastic surgeries to drastically change her appearance before she met Feng. She never told Feng about those surgeries.
When Feng found out about the procedures, he filed the lawsuit. He said the woman convinced him to marry her under false pretenses.
A judge agreed, awarding Feng $120,000.

Sorry but it's CHINA. Everything the law system does there should not be taken seriously. Sounds like one of Ally Mcbeal trials

What does it have to do with the Chinese legal system as a whole? The judgement seems reasonable enough.

Still many examples exist where woman have been granted full custody of children for stupid reasons and getting divorced for stupid reasons.
Basically both men and women can be retarded.
China perhaps gives men a preferance (I don't know, but am basing this assumption on this article.)
In the West women control the courts.

As far as I gathered, he started wondering why his kid was ugly and discovered that the person he married looked like that due to multiple plastic surgeries. So the point of the case was that his wife didn't let him know about her history.

First of all, it shouldnt matter to him if his kid is ugly or not
Secondly, he discovered his wife had plastic surgery so instead of having an honest conversation with the mother of his children dragged her to court and asked compensation? x 2
Thirdly, not only the Court accepted his case but gave him reason and 120k in "compensation" x 3
Fourthly, I just hate Dodig
