Spain players were even more awsome in the 90's-early 00's than now, stop smoking stuff... 
But I hate the deification of the 90's like if a match is somehow superior only because it's shorter, saulo having a hardon because "a 5 sets match on clay was only 150 minutes, flapflapflap...." 
There is such thing as negative bias, too, you know, and that is, indeed, a low feature

it nothing to do with the match being shorter but different playing styles.
