USTA told their junior player (16 y.o.) she's too fat and they wont refund her trip to junior US Open. also tried to forbid her to play
she ended up winning the title in doubles 
(honestly saying she is not slim, but it couldn't get any more rude by them. i don't think davenport or bartoli are slim but it seems to work for their game)

Davenport started off not-so-slim, but was very much in shape in the later stages of her career.

I remember Serena winning AO a few years ago after one of her usual breaks from tennis. She was huuuuge can you imagine someone from USTA telling her she's too fat?

i think she'll grow to enormous sizes after she ends career tbh
the girl said at the press conference it was not a misunderstanding
agree with andreea about morons who change tune when faced a strong reaction this way we had the whole world discuss the weight of a teenage girl, surely way to build up a sportswoman's ego
why won't they hire a nutritionist for her, btw? she's just a teen, not a specialist (she spends a lot of time on court so she's surely hungry all the time). or start from closing all fastfoods in the states? |
