In set 2 Berankis had 5*-4 40-30 and missed 5 set points to get broken on the first BP . In the tiebreak at 6-6, Nishikori DFs like a mug and hands Berankis a set point. Berankis then hits an ugly net winner to take the set :haha:
In the decider, Berankis had chances to break Nishikori but failed to convert. Berankis had an important game at 1*-1 which lasted about 10 minutes. It was amazing what I was seeing. Berankis refused to win the game. He played well up till game-point and then hits a DF or wild error. Once he made an error twice, he lost serve.
All in all, the match was a mugathon. The result was decided by who was worse. Nishikori played far from his best and will need to improve for next round.
