Thanks for all your guesses everyone. Looks like @niketennis made me a special pair of Vapor 9’s to celebrate the #1 record! They made 287 limited edition pairs total, and some will be available for you. Very nice of these guys. Feel free to check them out @niketennis.

You've got to be kidding, $287 for the shoes?
Show me the MRP.
@Johnny 'ITF' Groove:
He has a very good chance to make it past Laver's 303 weeks, IMO. Beyond that seems tough, though.
Congrats, Roger!

If Federer holds his #1 until January 13, 2014, he can break this record too.

These are pre-Open Era records? Or combined?

Re: Monday 16/7/12 Roger Federer breaks the all time weeks at no. 1 record. CONGRATS
It's a big record in tennis. Congrats, champ.
I remember how Federer came close to breaking this record in 2010 until Nadal went on a tear in the clay season and Federer had a few inexplicable losses, falling one week short of Sampras' record.
In retrospect, this might have been a blessing in disguise as the desire to add two more weeks as world number one might have been just the motivation to give a little bit extra in Paris, Rotterdam, Dubai et al.
How long do you guys reckon Federer will keep the number one spot this time? I guess he'll be reasonable safe until the US Open.
