The Oprah interview will be shown tomorrow so I don't know yet what Armstrong said exactly.
The trouble is that if he admits doping, he risks facing several law suits with every dollar he's got at stake. (according to my newspaper, his estimated wealth = about € 100 million dollar).
So, how can he admit guilt while facing that? Some time ago, the USADA offered him a reduced sentence if he was willing to talk openly about doping. He didn't agree so they gave him a life-long ban.
Throughout his career, Armstrong has been protected by a number of guys: Pat McQuaid, Hein Verbruggen, Johan Bruyneel,...
The theory is that in return for more leniency towards himself, he'd be willing to nail his protectors against the wall.

That whole thing simply stinks. I hope nothing like that ever happens in tennis.

I grew up with a kid whose birthday is Christmas day. That would be tough. I'm glad my birthday is in the summer.

Our snow has all melted and I like it that way. We're supposed to get a little more next week though.

Melanie! Metis will scold you later for MQing. Should she ever come back that is.
Our cute Milos is progressing nicely at the AO btw. Beat that horrible Rosol person in 3. Kohlschreiber next. Hope Milos can beat him but after that Federina the ballerina, end of the road I'm afraid.
Not that you'd care but the Finnish legend Teemu Selänne will finally reitre after this season. LOL at least seems that way. To think he's only a year younger than me! The Finns will make a documentary about him.

I hope Kohlschreiber beats your Milos

Do you think he'd post more if someone else had started the thread?
