I have a question for somebody who knows a lot about the points for the championrace.
The winner of Hong Kong earns 35 points and the runner up 24 points.
That meens: Ferrero 393 + 35 = 4 28 points and moya 393 + 24 = 417 points;
How do you explain that this week the championrace is=
ferrero 425 points and moya 402 points.
So moya earns as runner up only 9 points??????
Did they make a mistake and who correct this, because at the end of the year points could be very important for the masters!!!!!

All the GS and TMS results are included in the Race. But for the smaller tournaments which is all the International Series, only the best 5 results are included. For Moya, before HK, his best 5 is 50,35,35,18,15. In HK, he is the finalist and got 24 points, which then replaced the least points in the best of 5. Hence, he only get an additional 9 points to add on the Race. For JC, his best of 5 before HK is 3, so his 35 points win means he got 32 points to add on his total, hence, 425. Now Moya's least in the best of 5 is 18 points, so for the I.S. tourneys that he enters for the rest of the season, he needs to get to at least semi to get additional points to add on his total, sth like that...

I don't like that when he said he has no regrets if he didn't make Shanghai. I hope he's not counting himself out because he still get a very chance. Just do really good in TMS Madrid and he will be in, I'm hopeful.

And for Alex, his chance is slim, but he's not out yet, do really well in TMS and who knows.

And I'm pretty sure that JC will make it there.

And seems like Alex and JC won't be playing their first match in Tokyo until thursday. Carlos plays tomorrow, that's as if the schedule isn't disturbed by rain. Anyway, good luck to all of them.

Thanks for the explanation, now i understand the system. I always wondered how it works....
Indeed it is not good Moyke said he doesn't care if he isn't playing in the masterscup. As a top player he must stay competetive and fight for every chance he can get.
He is still in the running, so every point counts!!!

Moya lost to Waske! What the hell...

Oh well, no freaking. He won't get any point unless he's in the semi, so might as well get out at the second round and concentrate on the next tourney. *sigh*

Now Alex and Juanqui, pls do better.

I'm just really sad for Alex. 2 weeks in a roll, he lost a tough battle at 7-6 in the third. I hope he's not too frustrated by that. 4 of 6 spaniards lost already and JC haven't even play a point yet. Well, I hope Lopez will continue to play well and JC can come out on fire to avenge for his fellow countrymen.

This thread is officially closed as all my beloved spaniards are now out of the tournament. Well, not sure how Lopez does so far but I have no mood to care since JC lost....Damn, I hate this tournament.

“La mala educación” is neither a reflection on “la movida” in the early 80s, even though a major part of it is set in it. The thing I find most interesting about that period is the sense of endless freedom Spain lived then, as opposed to the darkness and oppression of the 60s. Thus, the early eighties provide the ideal framework for the grown-up characters to deal with their own fates, bodies and desires. - Pedro Almodovar
