Båstad QF : Ferrer def. Robredo 6-3 4-6 6-0
Good effort from Boredo in the first 2 sets, but he just doesn't have the match conditioning at the moment against the better players. Ferrer was kind to let him have the second set, then down to business in the end.

Isn't this the best run 250 of the year like the last 10 years or something? If I were David Ferrer or any top player I would be there too, why not go where they treat you well?

You and i both know, that Ferrer doesn't visit these events because he likes them. Tennis is a job for Ferrer, he enters them because he see's a chance to sneak his way into the top and gain ranking points/tournaments whilst the other top players are resting.

I don´t see anything wrong with that, either.

This is the kind of match that Robredo needs to get back to the Top 50.
Good week for him anyway, and bowing out like this to the strongest player in the draw is no shame at all.

Exactly. It's smart. If anything, Ferrer should be given praise for it. And some posters seem to believe that he would be ranked outside of the Top 20 if he didn't play these events

You know him or have you just decided this? I thought you didn't even like tennis, you posted that once, didn't you? Not sure how you might know that?

Good win Ferrer. Robredo looks like he's still got time left.

LOL at haters, if you remove all of 250 event of Ferrer he will have 4,680, which will give him world number 6 and if you remove all 250 and 500 events he will have 3,655 which is still world number 7.

It's as if Ferrer was too loved over here and someone called in the hound dogs to bring back the balance.
Just glad he took that 3rd set as expected.
