Exactly. They keep moving the goalposts in an attempt to justify irrational and animalistic venom towards a man they don't even know. Very pathetic.

Instead of waiting till Monday, the day after the tournament, he felt compelled to breathlessly announce that he might be unable to play at Wimbledon, two weeks hence. Whatta scumbag...

No, he did not make excuses before the tournament. He said he was scared he did major damage to his knees but that in the end it was simply a scare and now a major impediment.
As for 2009, I don't know what Federer has to do with Nadal's individual career, so I fail to see the relevance there.

Going to sleep, pick this back up when I wake up, if it isn't closed. And it would be nice to have the discussion not be so Nadal-centric.

Is this thread really worth a comment? I guess it is, just to say how silly it is.

^^ Traslation: I have nothing to contribute to the topic discussed, but I just want to state clearly that I am severely butthurted because one of my predilected dogmas are being criticized.

Remember, his Soderling loss at the FO was supposedly because of knee problems, too. Even though he didn't even have them taped (for the first time in ages) during that match.
2006 AO: Missed with injury
2007 Wimbledon: Medical timeout in 4th set of final against Federer.
2007 US Open: Tired, knee problems. Why he lost to Ferrer.
2009 French Open: Knee problems
2009 Wimbledon: Missed with knee problems
2009 US Open: Coming off long layoff for knee problems. Knees still bad, which is why Del Potro smoked him.
2010 Australian Open: Abdominal injury.
2011 Australian Open: Medical timeout in Ferrer SF loss. Can't move.
2012 Wimbledon: ?Tendinitis, no?
2007 Hamburg loss to Federer: ?I'm so tired and exhausted, no?
2009 Madrid loss to Federer: ?I'm exhausted from match with Djokovic, and I have knee problems that I will only talk about after losing in the French Open to Soderling, no?
2010 World Tour Finals final vs Federer: ?End of the year, tired, no?
2011 World Tour Finals RR vs. Federer: ?End of the year tired again, no?
2012 Miami, right before scheduled to play Djokovic after 7 straight losses if he wins SF: "Withdrawing from Murray match because of knee problems, no?"
BEFORE 2012 Australian Open, where he'd lose to Djokovic for the 7th consecutive time: "When I arrived here, I felt a loud CRACKKKKKK in my knees. in finals, it might be because my knees aren't 100%, no?"
Don't think that's an actual quote, but he DID mention some concern about his knees. It got old a LOOOOOONG time ago....

This.

Please don't try speaking English until you have at least grasped the most basic grammar rules of it. And try to make sense for once please....

I see, we have a classy guy here. If you failed in your arguments you always can find some misspellings or any grammar error to try to take out the focus from the main issue
English is not my first langauge you arrogant yank, and sure it's not good but problably is better than your second language, if you know a second one, of course.

At what point did I fail the argument? You made no coherent point the whole time, and then somehow I failed? The horrible grammar you just displayed is just an add on to the fact that you cannot seem to add anything relevant or useful to the conversation. You just make it too easy.

Well, apparently you have been unable to understand my point, maybe because my bad English maybe you are not smart enough, but I understood perfectly yours: I hate Nadal so much.

Definitely that one. Nope, I don't hate Nadal specifically. I hate all pros, the ones that I support are just the ones that I hate the least . Could you try making your point again and then maybe I can comprehend it?

It's obvious you have no idea what a preemptive excuse is, what Nadal talked about prior to the "scare" was a classic example of one. And you if "...fail to see the relevance..."of what I described, then you either don't understand decorum, are obtuse, or both.
