In all the sports I want the Brits to lose except one contest:
I want Daley to win the 10 m platform.

Pretty much. Boxing is pretty lame here, lol at Clemente Russo's celebration after winning by walkover.
Take a look at this gem of a recovery in Judo:
Epic throw here:

I want Tom Daley to win too,I like the kid.Maybe he should immigrate to Australia or something. GB is obviously not treating him well, over pressure, abusive tweets, school bullying threats.

Interesting. Any reasons as to why you think Australia will not live up to reputation?

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)
I like James Magnussen but he did it to himself I reckon. He put so much pressure on himself by saying things like ''even at 80% I don't think these guys can match it with me''. It was evident that the pressure has gotten to him so far. Nicknames like the missile and the weapons of mass destruction don't help things.

I remember in Beijing GB were doing amazingly well and everyone was looking upward at Russia and then suddenly the Australian media were outraged at being below the dirty Poms and penned some rather bitter material, when if they'd kept quiet no one here would have paid any attention nor dished out the gloating.
In fact this was it http://blogs.smh.com.au/olympics/joh...pomsareba.html
But it'll probably be close this time. AUS still have some good swimmers and a chance when the track and field gets underway.

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)
Aus v England = Commonwealth games
Aus v GB at Olympics is stupid because there is no rivalry with Scotland, Northern island, Wales or whatever.

The Magnussen farce is quite hilarious.
Talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

Re: Olympic Games 2012 London Thread (All other sports besides tennis)
I'm wondering if/what athletes have hooked up during the Olympics. There's been lots of buzz about sex between athletes during the Games, especially at the Olympic Village. I know LeBron James got turned down for a dinner date.

I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I know the government funding for the major Olympic sports (well what Australia considers important) like swimming is still quite generous.
With swimming one of the main reasons is that all the good coaches are coaching abroad like China and England.
