If a Kazakh wins a cycling medal he's a doper, if a Brit wins it's hard work!
But you make a fair point, an American swimming coach accusing others of doping is not unlike throwing rocks in a greenhouse.

Most of the action takes places after the athletes have competed in their event.
It makes perfect sense. You have devoted yourself for years to the race/fight/routine of your lifetime and after having competed find yourself with a lot of time to kill, no immediate purpose, in a foreign city and surrounded by young, superfit athletes from around the world who are just as eager to let themselves go.
The second week of the Olympics really is Durex wet dream. Pardon the poor analogy.

Exactly!
Everyone calling Phelps the "greatest Olympian" is utter ignorant and stupid.

I was being a bit silly Yes, he was a tank, we used to call him "The Flying Meatball". Boldsen wishes he was Ljubo's bootlace.

Great canoe slalom that. We had a team who we thought could win gold but it was the unheralded 2nd pair who pipped them to it, and to beat the legendary Hochschorners is mighty impressive.

Yep big difference in how Vinokurov and David Millar were covered here. And then Ohuruogu and Chambers get no bad press in the athletics.

That's why I said a few nights, like first couple of days they move in to the village to winning gold in the penultimate day or something

Wow!
Ki Bo Bae wins the women archery in an epic battle which ended in a shoot-off with Roman of Mexico.
Both shot 8's in the shoot-off but Ki was closer.
