What will be Federer's YE-ranking?
Federer is currently 11th in the race. For the first time ever at this stage of the year Wawrinka is actually ahead of him in the race... He has not won a title this year and is yet to reach a final. Of course grass and indoor season is still to come, so what's his likely YE ranking?
I don't see him being top 3 - think Novak, Murray and Nadal in some order have that wrapped up. Hard to see him outside top 8 too, but do think he could be outside top 4 - Berdych, Del Po etc. will all have chances.

Depends on his slam performances.

Honestly not sure. Anywhere from 4th-8th.

Enough for him to have to play qualifying rounds.
Roger: I mean, Jesus, I don't even know those mugs inside the top 10.

Re: What will be Federer's YE-ranking?
If he improves, then he will end up on 4th place. Berdych and Del Potro are threats and play better than Roger in 2013, but I feel he will get in right shape on grass and on pre-USO tournaments.
And if they are even at that point, there is still indoor season ahead of them, where Federer has biggest chances to wrap up points.

Is there an option for "unranked"?

Re: What will be Federer's YE-ranking?
Very hard to say. It would surprise me to see Fed win Wimbledon again and thus pretty much assure himself of a ranking of at least 4 or 5 at the end of the year. Equally it wouldn't surprise me if he continued to struggle and dropped down to 7 or 8, maybe even a bit lower.

If he can't string together consecutive wins, he might. Who knows?

Re: What will be Federer's YE-ranking?
He'll be fine. He's only played 5 tournaments, which includes a SF at AO. I think the top 3 is pretty much wrapped up. He'll finish 4th.

Re: What will be Federer's YE-ranking?
Nadal and Djokovic will almost certainly be ahead of him. Once Ferrer drops to #5 and gets drawn against the big 4 he'll find it hard to defend his points from last year. Del Potro will pick up a few injuries here and there, Berdych could potentially leapfrog him if he handles his schedule and finds a way to challenge Nadal and Djokovic.
Wimbledon semi should be on the cards for Roger, and the hardcourt and indoor season should give him room for improvement, so I think he'll be in the top 6, most likely 4 or 5.

Re: What will be Federer's YE-ranking?
at the moment it looks like any where from 5 to 12 however its the slams where federer picks up most of his points so he should secure top 8 with slam results alone. he has real compition for places 4, 5, 6, and 7 between him ferrer, berdych and del potro so he has to out perform them in most of the remaining tournements
