Re: Final grasscourt season for Lleyton
He added he would finalise his schedule after the Czech Republic tie, although was likely to skip the French Open and not play until the grasscourt season.
“At this stage I’m definitely playing Queen’s (in June) and I’ll play the week before Queen’s as well,” Hewitt said.
“It’s nice in my final year they put in an extra grasscourt tournament. It’s too bad it’s come about 20 years too late, but it’s nice I get another week on my favourite surface.
“But the main priority after this Davis Cup tie is getting ready for Wimbledon and then, hopefully, a quarter-final tie in Australia (against Italy or Kazakhstan) after that.”
