OMFG, Yes, Jerzy Now win the title and break into the Top 100...Great stats in this match....Interesting fact, Jerzy lost to Torebko last year in the one of the qualifying rounds in some clay tournament...Great stats in this match and under an hour Please win the title tomorrow, Jerzy Jagger!!! Against Middlekoop or Junqueira, winnable match for sure...If Jerzy can bring this game tomorrow, he should definitely win...So happy for him...Just one win away from two Poles being ranked in the Top 100!!!

Janowicz took out the most talented of opponents left, so he should have no problems in the final. Junqueira might try to moonball him into insanity though Middelkoop doesn't have anything to harm the Pole with; not a good enough attacking game, nor a strong enough defensive game.

How has Middlekoop made it this far? I know this is a home tournament for him, but geez, he was a WC here...Doesn't he play mainly Futures tournaments?

I just realized something else...If Jerzy Jagger wins the title tomorrow, he will not only break into the Top 100, but he will also make the US Open Main Draw directly!!! What is Jerzy's game like on hard court? To my knowledge, isn't hard court his preferred surface? That old glitterhack, Fee-Lo Green, said a few months back that Jerzy sucked on clay. Well, if that was true, what surface does Jerzy's game translate the best to? It looks like he plays a lot of clay tournaments, but what about the hard courts? I don't see him really scheduled to play anything after Poznan next week. What will he do when the hard court season starts?

He reached the QF last year as well I think. It's a weak tournament this year though and he's in good form (coming off a Future win). Middelkoop isn't a bad player, so when he faces opponents who are struggling with their form (as he did here: Gensse, Schoorel, De Bakker) he can take advantage of that opportunity, even though he's the less-talented player.

Janowicz has had his best successes on clay, but it should be his worst surface. I think he has the most potential indoors. Hard is somewhat in between, but I think it might take some time to transition.

Well then why would that old glitterhack say he sucked on clay?? It doesn't make sense...So he plays mostly on clay, but it "should" be his worst surface? Hmmm, well big serve + really tall + some ball-bashing = Rosol like, right? And clay is Rosol's best surface...Interesting

So, does Jerzy play many hard court events? Does he play many indoor events? What will he play the rest of the season? Clay tournaments? He should try to transition to hard and indoor, so that he can become more of an all-around player...He won't last long in the Top 100 if he can't play decently on more surfaces than clay

He's poor mans Rosol. When he's on, can do some damage, also has some kind of form recently (couple of good futures results).

Hope for a ballbashing fest tomorrow Better that than currently trying to watch Verdasco and Granollers grinding into oblivion.

i think he's not playing on hard because european challengers are mostly on clay, and travelling overseas goes along with costs (recanati is on hard, but it's in the week of poznan in his country)... he was in USO junior final after all...

he played wolfsburg indoors final this year on a very quick surface

this year is generally his breakthrough because he finally passed slam quallies... i suppose he mainly needed a mental step up, which can raise his results on any surface... as you can see him at this event, he started feeling a bit like a boss not a kid who just has a chance to win against someone (and then choke)

he lost to middelkoop at USO quallies last year btw

Lol, Janowicz has far much more potential than Rosol who is just a ballbasher.

The pole moves better, returns better, and has more defensive skills.

If Lukasz drops out of the Top 100, I will cry...I love him...Jerzy lost to Middlekoop at USO qualies??!! I am scared now He better not lose tomorrow...Lukasz losing to Stebe, Zopp losing to Hajek this week...I couldn't take another disappointing loss this week...Please Jerzy Jagger, don't fuck it up

By the way, I really hope Lukasz plays mixed doubles with Radwanska at the OG...Do you know if they are? Lukasz and Radwanska are great doubles players...Together, they might do some damage there
