How did Bastl get a WC into the draw? He isn't even ranked and hasn't played a match all year. Is it down to his win over Sampras?

Maybe. It is the ten year anniversary.

I was looking through his Grand Slam history and it's actually fascinating. He's accumulated losses to the following big names over the years: Marcelo Rios, Marat Safin, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, David Nalbandian (the match after Sampras), Andy Murray (Andy's first GS match), Juan Carlos Ferrero (Bastl's last main draw major match, in 2006). Now losing to a challenger player who does own a couple of GS doubles titles.

The Brian Baker Story. Proof that truth is stranger than fiction... until Hollywood buys the rights. Or decides to screw up it with a twist.

Andy Murray: 2012 Olympic gold and silver medalist. US Open Champ. Never been prouder of him.
