fabbiano was pretty awful against this israeli no-name in R1, no wonder he lost to a player who actually has some experience

Duilio broke himself to start the second. Could be costly, we'll see.

Saavedra-Corvalan

What a fight between Collarini and Molteni

Fabbiano simply isn't that good a player Lacks the firepower but also the tactical skills needed to compensate for his weaknesses.

Pella is by far a better player than Saavedra. I was expecting a comfortable victory in straight sets for him but, for sure, not a double bagel Bad scoreline for the Chilean, but the result was very predictable.

Also a shame Collarini couldn't get the win in the end against Molteni, he's got plenty of game and a great technique on his groundstrokes but, in the end, I guess Molteni's experience and better fitness were crucial.

I know Fabbiano isn't that great but, believe me, if he could adjust his struggles with both his second and first serve he would do much better. It's his main weakness (a major one) and players at this level make him pay for it.

Velotti def. Schwartzman 3/6 6/3 6/2, 18 breaks of serve...
Pella def. Molteni 7/6(4) 6/3

Prodon 3/6 6/2 Andreozzi, the young argie has some game, decent serve and powerful FH...but Prodon should win thanks to his experience

What's wrong with Guido? I really like his game and I'm not too surprised about this result, Molteni is solid but Pella's got enough weapons to overpower and hit through him from the baseline.

Nothing's wrong, but I thought Molteni would be too consistent.
