Re: Week 27: Lima (Entry List)
Fabbiano won 6-4 6-1. Judging by the stats, his serve was terrible as almost always but was enough in the end.
Looking forward to his match against Schwartzman, could be a close one.

Too bad Lucho Horna didn't take a wildcard.

It's crazy to think he retired 3 years ago, still remember his game and that awesome forehand. He's only 31, could have carried on trying to get back to the top 100 but I guess he didn't want to risk failing at it and ending his career struggling to win matches even against future level players like what's happening to his friend Nico Massu

Re: Week 27: Lima (Entry List)
Fantastic display of Collarini from what I saw, Rivera is still struggling with his knee injury but Andrea was swinging his groundstrokes with a lot of confidence, great shotmaking at times.
And a big for Luca Vanni, leading 3-1 in the third set against Prodon and losing 5 straight games afterwards.

Kirche def. Echazu 6-3 6-3
Too bad for the home country fans.
I can only imagine how Prodon played today. Good scores for Andrea and Guido, however.

Re: Week 27: Lima (Entry List)
I had a strange feeling there would be a Aguilar-Beretta rematch this week. Hope this is a good match.

He didn't like travelling too much and had lots of injuries, he couldn't be bothered fighting back from 300s.
In fact he is the tournament director of the challenger.

Re: Week 27: Lima (Entry List)
Beretta 6-2 6-0. Aguilar was disinterested and that's putting it mildly.
Duilio will beat Prodon tomorrow with the home crowd's support

Re: Week 27: Lima (Entry List)
Too bad Fabbiano-Schwartzman isn't on a televised court, I wanted to see the match and IMO is a more interesting one, on paper, than for example Demoliner-Andreozzi which will be played on the main court. Anyway, good luck Thomas! Should be a tough one.
Beretta 2-1 over Aguilar in the last 3 weeks. First two matches in futures were pretty close, I guess the Chilean was tired or something.

You're right, with all the injury struggles it's pretty tough to climb back up the rankings at the age he had at the time. Good to know he's still involved in the sport.

Re: Week 27: Lima (Entry List)
Schwartzman def. Fabbiano 6-4 6-2.
I was expecting better from Thomas but he's not going to progress any further if he doesn't improve his serve. It's tough for his height but that's not even a fair excuse since his opponent today is also a midget like him and, currently, it's not only a matter of power but also of first serve % and DFs.
