I can't believe Ciric, really. His groundstrokes are pretty terrible, maybe one of the worst in the top 250! When I first saw him play with his joke of a one-handed backhand and his inability to defend from the back of the court I was like 'WTF, how is he ranked so far up?', then I saw his SERVE. Incredibly inconsistent though, saves his ranking with a couple of good runs per year.

His groundstrokes aren't that bad at all, on his day. It's just that day is rare. I've seen him play a few events either live or online, and he's rallied fine with decent claycourters. Everything comes from that serve though. If that's not working, his whole game comes apaart. He also seems incapable of playing on any other service. I watched his match for Wimbledon qualifiers, and it was like, he just tried to crash the ball off the return, either a winner, or more usually an unforced.

I don't expect he'll win today though, alund should be too consistent for him.
