Re: Dust your shoulders off! Grass season 2012 Thread
This is probably by far the best match I've seen him play.

the best one for sure, huge mental stability, and proved it through serving, which was fabulous, returning at least as well as serving, today it was perfection!!!!!!

Re: Dust your shoulders off! Grass season 2012 Thread
30 aces and only 2 double faults and yes, great service return throughout the entire match. I have tears in my eyes. Thank God!
Best of luck on your second round match, Ernests!

Re: Dust your shoulders off! Grass season 2012 Thread
"I'm very well known for my mental strength"- Ernests Gulbis June 25th, 2012
I'm attempting to write a decent post about what my thoughts are reguarding the match but I can barely form a sentence at this point! I'm speechless and I needed to take a few moments before I was able to type anything that makes sense.
As you all know, I've ALWAYS believed in Ernests since I first started following him in 2008. I cheer him on during all the losses and inconsistancies..but it all becomes so much more meaningful during moments like this! Moments when you can witness pure joy on his face, his father's face & everyone in his team. Where all the hard work paid off and the negitivity disappears for a moment!
This was only one match and he still has a lot of work ahead of him before he can continue to improve his ranking and grow as a player, but for now.. we are on top of the world! This was a huge win and it's so incredibly sweet!
One thing I will complain about was John McEnroe as a commentator! I don't understand how he is allowed to have that job. He doesn't hold much knowlege of the players and tends to just make stuff up. Poor guy didn't even know Novotny has been his full time trainer since 2010. LOL! Oh well. All of the aggrivation I felt during the match has completely disappeared and I'd probably even kiss McEnroe right now. (Ok, maybe not)
I keep replaying the reactions and celebrations of Ernests & his team in my mind and smiling silly to myself! It's a great day to be an Ernests fan! <3
