That's a good point, Marti is hitting the ball deep. I felt as if Filippo was literally guiding the ball until he held for 3-0 in the second set. He wasn't hitting with authority. He's hitting out more now and getting more racquet head speed through the ball.

Re: Week 24 : Monza (Entry List)
Good game from Javi to break to open the third set. If Pippo doesn't take control of the rally he's immediately being put on defense and losing the point. He has to be attack minded and hit with authority.

He stepped it up in the end, Pippo did. I'm proud of him. He found a way to make it happen when it mattered.

With that being said, I fully expect Serra to take Filippo out in the next round.

Re: Week 24 : Monza (Entry List)
I wanted Florent to win because he needs points desperately, but I know this tournament means more to Filippo than Florent. Tough, but I can't be upset with whoever won and Filippo came through.

Good old Pashanski didn't shake the umpires hand after the match, bitching the whole time.

Huge TB win for DGT there, he saved a match point with a netcord. Since it was Odesnik all good.
