It may be safe to say that while Nadal has a disproportionately effective game vs. Federer, against other players his game isn't that effective, especially out side of clay.

Huh.. as a professional it's your responsibility to be fit.
If Olderer can be fit at 31 and Djokovic can play non-stop after 2011, Rafa is not physically good enough if he breaks down every 15 months.

In the context it sounded like an excuse and would have been perceived as such even if that wasn't your intent. :-/

You are avoiding my question. When was the last time Fed won a GS match against Nadal? How many more chances does he need, come on! Stop making coward excuses
Being bitchslapped 5 times in a row at GS events on 3 different surfaces is simply

Not Fedrerer fault Nadal is always injured or something when hes in top shape
If Nadal would make it to the finals on this Wimby, he would be destroyed.

Just like Fed destroyed Murray at the Olympics just a few weeks later?
Federer was not imperial on grass this year - was far better in 06, 07, 08 etc. - would never have struggled against Benneateau etc. back then. If he didn't destroy Nadal on grass at his peak I see no reason for him doing so now. He only destroys Nadal at best of 3 events, not slams.

Com'on, Nadal is being destroyed by the likes of Rosol FFS! His flukey grass wins are from another time, nowadays all he can grab is those clay tournaments.

Federer was far better then in 2008, are you insane? (he played like chiken in the key points vs Nadal, tons of UE)
And you really think that Federer play his max in early rounds? that's really sad, and proves how much you know Fed.
Like i said, Nadal would be destroyed in the finals IMHO, hes form is lacking and Federer this year on Wimby (last 2 matches) was brilliant (when it counts)
And about Olympics, if that was GS, we both know what would have happen, Federer was to nervous and tired to play his best vs Murray, heck he even looked totally scared/in panic in the early rounds as well, you dont need to be Fed fan to notice how his facial esspresion change when his under big pressure, i noticed it right away.
It was to much pressure for Fed, and he looked like hes satisfied with the silver, like he had no more in him in order to play at max vs Murray, who was really good anyway, and played very consistence.

Flukey grass wins don't lead to 5 Wimbledon finals and 2 wins, one over Fed. Be real and give the guy some credit. Losing a 5th set 6-4 is not destruction - it's s close match. And yes his form wasn't great this year - he hasn't played over a month and a half afterwards - might be a clue. But, if he'd got to the final (which is the only time he could have met Fed) you'd have to think he'd have been playing ok and I don't see Fed destroying him on 2nd week Wimbledon grass. Didn't say Fed couldn't beat him - just that it wouldn't be destruction.

Wow, what a typical coward excuse. So, Nadal spanked Federer 18 times and Federer was never in top shape Just take the losses like a man, Fedtard, not like a little girl!

Exclude the clay wins, then compare the score again, Cya.

And why would I exclude the clay wins - did those matches not happen, is clay not a surface, is one of the 4 Grand Slams not on clay? Plus, the two times they met on hardcourts, Federer's best surface, in Grand Slams Nadal still won
Sorry, but Federer had plenty of chances against Rafa and he blew them. And that's why the likes of you hate Rafa, another coward thing to do - hate the guy who OWNS your favorite player
