oh yeah, Roger sometimes gets his foot deep in his mouth (there are times on which you wish he just shuts up ) but it's not all the time and he's pretty tame nowadays with the talk, more matured and centered, I guess parenthood and age have gotten to him

i'm sorry but i don't agree with the second part Arkulari. he still seems like the same roger to me. it's true though that it's not all the time but it's still pretty frequent.

Federer admitting he was defeated by the better player on the day was never the problem. It's always been Nadull who comes up with phantom injuries, sicknesses, and bs excuses for his losses. Not surprising though to see a Fedal gloryhunter letting Nadull take credit for Federer's grace and humility

I'm glad that the two genuinely get along now. I think of that video from last summer when they were giggling together and generally in hysterics while trying to film a promo. They've come a long way, that's for sure.

federer is very good at using words. he says things in a disarming and charming manner so that you don't realise that you are being insulted or damned with faint praise.
he pulls people in and they start going on about how gracious and charming he is but if you read carefully between the lines or can pick up quickly what he is actually saying; you realise that he is being a bit of a prat and is quite arrogant and egotistical.

it's for this reason that i started disliking him ( pls know,i don't hate him, and respect and admire his game a lot) whereas before i thought he was a really nice guy and really liked the cute way he was with rafa. now i can barely stand it when he opens his mouth to speak as what he says is rarely ok.

Is this how you analyze everybody around you? Oh my god... what a loser lol get a life

I wonder if you conducted 5 zillion press conferences over the next 7 years, and we analysed every single word and phrase of yours, what conclusions we'd arrive at.

But that's perfectly true! Sometimes a player does lose because he played badly. I don't see how you could really argue otherwise.

Federer's point is that he can't always be expected to have a higher level than his opponent and just because his opponent won doesn't mean there was anything in particular wrong with his game - as often defeat comes because his opponent simply executed better on the day. There can only be one winner after, all.
