Desafío en Roma

Este lunes se producirá el debut de David en el Masters de Roma. Cerca de las 10.30 hs de la Argentina, enfrentará por la primera ronda al español Albert Ramos, jugador proveniente de la qualy. Tras la temprana eliminación en Madrid, David buscará en Roma una actuación que le permita seguir sumando puntos para continuar ascendiendo en el ranking ATP.
La baja a último momento del francés Benneteau posibilitó que David ingrese directamente al cuadro principal en Roma. Por eso, su tenis estará presente en el torneo más importante de la capital italiana, donde en la edición 2004 consiguió su mejor actuación, logrando un subcampeonato luego de caer en el partido final ante el español Moya.

David y Ramos, número 39 del ranking, no presentan antecedentes de enfrentamientos previos entre sí, por lo que será la primera vez que choquen de manera oficial dentro del circuito. David regresa a la tierra batida romana tras cuatro años de ausencia en el Foro Itálico, ya que su última participación en el Masters 1000 de Roma fue en 2008.
