Re: Barcelona QF : Raonic def. Murray 6-4 7-6(3)
OMG, I missed this match.
I knew Raonic had a good chance, but never expected a straight set win for him, Murray
Going to check out the highlights later on.

Anyways, making some pretty decent "anti-Simon Reed" predictions. 2 for 2 so far with Bachinger in 2, and now Raonic in 2.

Yes, this kid is getting better. I loved his FH in this match. Fucking vicious.

Impressive tennis from Milos and a fantastic win! A little mini choke when he served for it earlier in the second, but wrapped it up nicely in the breaker. Milos' forehand was a thing of beauty today. And thank you Sportsnet for showing it live here in Canada before I leave for work!

These big guys are good on clay!
Don't think Raonic would have been able to beat Murray on any other surface today, certainly not outdoor hard. I hope he can beat Ferrer/Lopez next (almost definitely Ferrer) and make the final.

Ferrer owned him last year, but Milos is playing at a better level than he ever has before. That will be interesting indeed. I can guarantee you that Ferrer will have an actual strategy to beat Milos, though, whereas Murray had nothing but aimlessly pushing the ball back for Milos to destroy.

Re: Barcelona QF : Raonic def. Murray 6-4 7-6(3)
It's not like Milos has a clay allergy, he trains in Barcelona a lot and feels comfortable there.
Two wins over guys in the top 20 this week. He plays to his strengths and didn't get down on himself after the poor game when serving for the match.

Re: Barcelona QF : Raonic def. Murray 6-4 7-6(3)
Milos wasn't a serve-bot last year at the Australian Open and he's only improved his ground game and movement since then.
It's like calling Federer a forehand-bot or Gasquet a backhand-bot - like having a great dominant shot that happens to be the serve is a bad thing.

Isner improved a lot to become the player he is today. I am sure that Raonic can step it up as well

Awful clay season for Murray until now. Hope he will do better in Madrid and at least reach quarter finals in Roland Garros.
On the other hand, I'm really happy for Raonic, even though I don't see him getting past Ferrer.

I like both but Raonic is a better player overall. Better FH and BH.

Yes agree, Raonic has more room left for improvement.
