I predicted that Man City would beat Man Utd but drop points against Newcastle, but thankfully they got the job done today. It was great for English football when Blackburn and Chelsea ended their 81 and 50 year title droughts respectively, and it will be similarly great if City don't screw up against QPR and end their 44 year title drought. Mark Hughes hates City and Mancini so he would love to deliver the sting in their tail.

Yaya Toure is immense. Barcelona were a much better team when they had his presence in their midfield, and Arsene Wenger was an idiot not to sign him when he had the chance (he repeatedly said that joining Arsenal would have been his dream move).

I'm gutted that Bolton threw away 2 points away. Hopefully they win away to Stoke on the last day of the season like Wigan did last season and survive while QPR get relegated as a punishment for paying Joey Barton Ł80,000 a week.

Tomorrow night should be quite an occasion. I expect Kean is going to get rinsed by the fans.

Villarreal are home against Atletico who still have a chance for Champions League depending on Malaga's result. Zaragoza at Getafe who are playing for nothing.
Sporting will go down, don't deserve to stay up which the players have to except getting Preciado sacked. Rayo have great fans, provide a proper atmosphere in spite of their arsehole owners. Granada well Udinese need to put some money into them, at least they and Rayo don't spend millions when in administration or not pay for transfers like Zaragoza.

Villarreal will stay up.

Bolton shot themselves in the foot today. We deserve to go down. 2-0 up and we put on an immobile forward and a midfielder who hasn't played for 9 months.

Anyway, I'm almost glad we're (practically certain to be) in the Championship next season. Even the promoted clubs have mega-rich owners - with Southampton backed by the inheritance of billionaire Liebherr and Reading backed by a Russian oligarch. QPR staying up will mean they'll spend stupid money on wages/transfers. West Ham with the porn barons would truly make it the unholy trifecta.

All about money these days.

He will for sure and deservedly so. To the wider football public Kean comes across as a nice guy who is trying his best but is just out of his depth. But to Rovers fans we know about the way he has treated and scapegoated his coaching staff and blamed fans for spiking his drink when he was prosecuted for drink-driving (unsurprisingly the judge ridiculed those claims). Last season he labelled people that asked him honest, concerned questions about the club's future at a supporters meeting as idiots. His tactics in the Spurs game last week were a disgrace to football.
