Dreadful first half at OT, at least for the neutral football fan. People usually mention Barca when they happen to talk about 'sterile possession' and such, but Real is no better today. They simply don't know shit to do with the ball and are not posing any threat at all.
I really don't know why Mourinho doesn't field Alonso/Modric. Khedira must be one of the most uncreative players around, passing-wise and movement-wise. He is decent defensively and an alright header, but when you're chasing a goal (like Real atm), he's no real help at all as all his passing moves consists of either a.) five-yard-passes-sideways or b.) backwards-passes.
Also, Real are really missing Marcelo. Coentrao doesn't offer half as much going forward and with Arbeloa on the other side, their fullback pairing simply doesn't have any offensive impact whatsoever. Dunno, probably they should stick Ramos on the right, not like they have many options with Marcelo not even on the bench. Definitely would buy a right-back in Summer if I was in charge at Real.
United do well enough, but that was never in doubt.
