Messi was a beast that season. Top goalscorer in La Liga and the Champions League, including 4 in the same match against Arsenal. Both had great seasons.

Sneijder launched Inter to the CL, scudetto and was top goalscorer + keyplayer at Netherlands reaching WC final and almost winning it.

The only one debatable is 2010, Sneijder could have won it.

Or since they decided to do that disgusting 3-way Barcafest, Xavi should've won since he won with Barca AND had a fantastic World Cup. That he came in last place to Iniesta who was out with injury most of the season and probably only made the cut for scoring the goal in the WC final

Yes, he obviously had better results. But the Ballon D'or is an individual award, and as fantastic as Sneijder was that season, I think Messi was just a bit better (it was close anyway).
its quite clear now (what i've said for last 5 years)..... Cristiano Ronaldo, who learned everything he knows about the game in Britain, IS the best player in the world, no more doubts about it.
I was going to call you a clown, but dont want to offend the people who actually make money out of this.
Cristiano Ronaldo learned in the same place than Figo, Nani, Simao, Futre, Quaresma, Moutinho and so on. Sporting Lisbon.

All great teams and cycles come to an end and it seems like it's happening for Barcelona, although it doesn't help Tito being absent because Jordi Roura is clueless. Just goes to show not just anyone can take charge of a team with world class players and get results against good opposition.

About the match, I am not too worried about this particular result, but more than the team plan in the future. First of all, we need to take this mug Roura out of there ASAP! But that is not the only problem. The team clearly lacks of a plan B. Any other good tactical and technical team understands now how to stop the tiki-taka.
And the other problem about Tiki-taka not working, is that when you lose the ball, there is no plan at all to defend. Just 2 or 3 players in the back. And against a team who has a running machine like Ronaldo and others like Di Maria, this is just suicide.
Yes, some players are problems right now. Puyol is getting old, Cesc is in very bad shape, Pedro is not a decisve player we need, Alexis was a flop. But more important is a plan. And we only have ONE. And its not working anymore! I am not saying to stop using tiki-taka. It's a style that is the ID of the team. But it does need to be re-founded. More direct, precise and safe. We need a striker for that. Only Villa is not enough. Unfortunally there will be no time for any plans against Milan in CL, and only luck can save us.
Anyway, the season is not lost and this is not the end of the world. We are still going to be Liga winners. But we need to wake up. If I was hoping for a fast recover fro Tito, now it's even more clear that we need him!
Visca el Barça!

Barca needs to buy a quality striker this summer. Messi can't be the only player that scores in the team. I can't believe how they bought Alexis instead of Aguero (City bought Aguero pretty much for the same amount). They need to get Neymar (or Suarez maybe). And Pique and Puyol really declined. They also need one or two good central defenders. The midfield is fine. Iniesta and Busquets always play great.

I don't think this would be happening with Villanova, it's just that Roura is clueless. Before Tito got sick Barca was playing better than ever.
David Ferrer | Stanislas Wawrinka | Andy Roddick | Tommy Haas
Daniel Brands | David Goffin | Andy Murray | Bernard Tomic | Lleyton Hewitt

Mikey, you're missed
on a mission
it's astonishing how ex-non divers learn all the tricks immediately when they sign for barca . fabregas already showed it plenty of times, this time alba showed all benefits of learning from the bests

Luckily for them they have the league sewn up- if the points gap was less than nine points I'd be worried that Roura would fuck it all up. Although Tito is supposedly back for April.
