Yes Giggs was way better in his prime. Even as he got older and lost his pace, he became a lot cleverer tactically to make up for it. He has scored at least one league goal every year for the last 23 seasons which is just amazing.

The goal he scored against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final during Man Utd's treble season in 1999 was out of this world, and when Man Utd beat Juventus 3-0 in Turin in 2003, he put in one of the best performances I've ever seen from any player in the Champions League.

Football fans can be so fickle though. Quite a lot of Man Utd fans were booing him and saying that Ferguson should get rid of him when he had a slump in 2002-2003. I went to the Man Utd-Blackburn league cup semi-final in 2003, when his own fans were really getting on his back.

That goal against Arsenal was fantastic, one my favorite, and I remember that performace against Juve too, he seemed to like scoring against Juve

Unbelievable how he can keep playing at the top level at this age. Some of the players that are playing with him now weren't even born when he was already playing in the Premier League.
