Why do you seem to care more about them allowing a goal, rather than losing, or perhaps drawing?

Because he is an Arsenal fan. And there it's logical he doesn't want Everton to have a clean sheet tonight

Yeah, but a win or even a draw maybe, is more important than that.

yeah, and to win Arsenal had to kill Everton's clean sheet.

Just wanted us to start scoring again, which we did, thankfully. Obviously I wanted to get at least a point.

I'm happy with a point. An away trip to Everton is easily in the top six or seven toughest fixtures we'll face this season. Their style doesn't play into our hands like Liverpool's or Tottenham's does.

Good to have Walcott score, even if he won't stay, at least seems to still be a team player, and not letting the off pitch stuff bother him on it.

Yeah. Much like Van Persie last year, even if he's going to leave, might as well use him while we've got him. And yes, you're right, it's good that his heart is still in it and he's working hard for the team.

I'll be sad to see him go, but I think we've got wingers to replace him, both coming through the ranks, and we allegedly, as always, have 'money to spend'. Whether Le Professeur will choose to use them is another matter for another day.

If Manchester United didn't have Van Pursestring's goals or assists this year, they'd be 13th.

Yes, Liverpool would be 19th without Suarez's goals and assists.

dont know about that, Unt have spread the goals out from something like 14 players this season and led the league in that stat by a mile

Chico scoring everywhere, class goals as well, now that purple nose seems to have gotten over his blind spot with the utterly useless Welbeck, only took him a year

Van Pursestrings has assisted a load of important goals, as well as score (9 now, I think). He's not as essential to the Mancs as he was to us, but you'd certainly be a lot weaker without him.

Obviously that stat doesn't tell the whole truth, you'd have a different player on the pitch instead of Van Pursestrings, who could perhaps contribute goals and assists of their own. Hernandez and Welbeck are obviously very able.

This is the poorest start to the Premier League, quality-wise, by everyone, I've ever seen. It says it all that this season's outstanding performers are West Brom, who'd usually be lower mid-table or relegation candidates. I don't think they're that good, just organised very well by a superbly intelligent coach in Stevie Clarke.

I hope the standard of football in the league increases.

True, none of the big teams can defend... as a back 4 and as a collective

the best defensive team are Stoke who are a credit to the footballing world

Pulis should be manager of the year every year

Stoke are are good defensively, nothing more, nothing less. They deal with set-pieces well, have powerful men at the back to deal with any of those threats. They lack the quick coverage needed to deal with swift breaks, though. It's always going to be the case that if you concentrate too much on building a strong back line, capable of dominating the aerial duels and out-muscling the opposition, the players are going to be on the cumbersome side.

No team is exceptional, but I think Man City probably have the best defence, or will develop into possessing it in the near future. They have the best defender in the league, Vincent Kompany, and the best teenage defender in the league, Matija Nastasic. That already has the makings of a superb combination, or at least that's how I see it.

Man City overcomplicate things by switching between a classic back-four, and a back-three, with wing-backs to the side. I think these unnecessary tactical changes have caused them to leak too many goals, but they are still statistically the best, and I agree with the stats as usual.
