I wouldn't take what an agent says as truth. He should want to leave if he wants a lot of playing time because he won't get it unless he moves ahead of Welbeck whom Fergie seems quite fond of.

Chicha can and will probably have Ole role from past. Impact from bench he proved he can do it. Also he sid he dreams of winning treble an would trade all goals he scored for title. Not words of someone who wants to leave

Re: Football Zone
Interesting match between Juve A and Juve B, guess Milan would have to wait for PSG to do their 'A vs B' encounter.

Semantics, semantics. Crowd was rowdy as hell, laser pointers at Tim Howard's eyes, bags of urine thrown at the end of the game, etc.
Still a historic result and unbelievable performance by Tim Howard.

Indeed.
And then they're accused of being "classless" by people who fall one step short of wishing them a painful death. Who's being classless again?

Re: Van Persie Bashing Thread.
Both Man U and Arsenal suck. One of Van Persie or Rooney is really going to struggle.

Yes and they had their traitor, too. Andreas Möller.
He was never really loved by his new fans from Schalke after he went away, even though he was more succesfull than with Dortmund before.
But I agree with those who say that basically football players are employees from a company.
They know that they could be fired every season, with a mean team manager also during a season.
No team manager asks the fans if it OK to let a player go.
So why should the fans have more power when the player leaves because of his own decision?

From what I've seen of Euro football fandom, apparently the fans have.

How about Jens Lehmann?
As for rivalries.
Boca Juniors <-> River Plate
Galatasaray <-> Fenerbahçe

Derby d'Italia (Juventus-Inter) is a bigger deal than Derby della Mole (Juventus-Torino) for the reason scarecrows pointed out. The rivalry with Milan is still huge however, just not as intense as with Inter in Juve's case.

One would rather think he was a player on his own, be never seemed to fit completely into a team.
Thinking of him I rather remember his rivalry with Olli Kahn, who for sure is the best german goallie ever.
I guess offensive players like van Persie or middlefielders like Möller simply make a better rolemodel than goallies who more or less always show that the team has problems in the defense.
So fans can identify with them better.
You will also probably hear much more interviews from them.
On the other hand attackers and midfielders lose their regular berth much quicker than goallies do.
But I don´t think that van Persie was so afraid of Podolski, after all Podolski never managed to establish himself in Munich
