Re: Football Zone
I bet if Modric knew where he was going when he signed for Spurs he would rather played in provincial league

Re: Football Zone
AVB is a legend, and I say that as an Arsenal fan.
He might get Spurs relegated, which is great!
Seriously though, he's a top coach, but I am doubtful he'll do well in England, ever.

Re: Football Zone
According to the biggest Dutch football magazine Chelsea just bought Oscar from Internacional Porto Alegro for €30 million euros!

EDIT: Now Eurosport has confirmed it as well

Oscar, full name Oscar dos Santos Emboaba Junior, is a product of the Sao Paulo youth set up. Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or winger, he is viewed as one of his country's most exciting talents.
He left the capital for Internacional in December 2010 and has played at every level of international football. His Brazil debut arrived in September last year when he came on as a substitute in a 0-0 draw with Argentina, and he has scored once in six caps.
Meanwhile, Frank Lampard admits Chelsea face a period of adjustment to the influx of new recruits but is excited about the coming season.
Eden Hazard and Marko Marin have already joined the Champions League winners, while Oscar signed on Wednesday.
Lampard, who is on Chelsea's tour to America, believes Chelsea will benefit from the increased competition for places.
"We proved to be a great team and a great unit in the second half of last season," he told the club's official website, www.chelseafc.com. "This year maybe we are slightly different because we have more new young players coming in.
"There might not be the settled togetherness that we had on the pitch at that side because we had been together a long time. But there is an excitement about our team as well and that's probably the main difference."

Rodgers is a fail, yes.
Just look at what he was doing with Reading. They nearly got relegated to League 2. As soon as he left, McDermott came in, and within two seasons, they are in the Premier League.
Now he did a good job at Swansea, but one good job for a short amount of time doesn't make him a good manager.
AVB does have an annoying way of articulating his thoughts. It's very business-like with the use of words like 'project'. He's a great manager though. He did OK at Chelsea and was manager of te year for Europe when he won Porto the EUROPA League.

I also read that Man Utd bought Lucas Moura and Chelsea bought Hulk but this isn't confirmed yet.
Chelsea did buy Thorgan Hazard (younger brother of Eden) from RC Lens though.

Lucas deal is off according to agent seems like United didn´t bid enough but Ferguson said he is working on bringing 1-2 players in. I guess RVP and Moura
also Modric looks like going to PSG
