Re: Qualifying Draw
Very poor serving from Zeballos. Both he and Rufin had their chances throughout the first set but, of course, it was Rufin who took his chance when it mattered at 5 all to take the set. Somewhat surprised with the mediocre serving from both players.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Predictable win for Bagnis. I think he can beat Rufin if that's his next opponent.
Pretty poor service numbers from Ilhan. These types of courts should favor Ilhan in this match but his form isn't good enough. Marco has a bit more weapons that make the difference.

Re: Qualifying Draw
I'm glad Bagnis won, but I'm pretty sure it's because an out of form clay courter. I really don't think he can beat Rufin, but we'll see I guess.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Rufin really isn't showing anything impressive on HC. And these courts play like a clay court, anyway.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Simone already behind. Of all the players he could have drawn, he got Delic. Not a good match-up but he still should have his chances, if he picks the game up. Had 3 break points and took none of them, not a good sign.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Ilhan has won 46% of service points against Marco Chiuidnelli. And his serve is supposedly one of his only weapons. Very bad. Seemingly Ilhan cannot start a season in winning form.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Simone gets the break back. Good. Now time to really put himself into the match.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Capdeville looked injured last week in Mexico, so no surprise at all to me he's struggling with Elias. Elias has the game to beat Capdeville, even if the Chilean were healthy. Plus, he's an IMG guy. He's got a lot of motivation to perform well this week.
Only served at 42% in the first set but Capdeville's own serve is a mess.

Chiudinelli def. Ilhan 6-4 6-1
I expected the result, but not that easily.

Re: Qualifying Draw
What does that IMG mean?

Re: Qualifying Draw
IMG is a tennis agency connected with the Nick Bollettieri academy.

Re: Qualifying Draw
Rufin def. Zeballos 7-5 6-1
Match got extremely comfortable after the first couple games of the second set. I guess Zeba fell apart after missing the amount of openings he had, and having Rufin take advantage of his.
Two wins over the past three weeks over Zeballos for the Frenchman.
