Viktor would rather cheer for Nole than be bothered with this tennis thingy.

Default IW R2: Harrison def. [25] Troicki 7-6(5) 6-3

Fun match to watch, even if the quality was poor. But Ryan showed again that he has great talent, skills and court sense. Hope he can do better against Murray this time.

Default Indian Wells R2: Harrison def. Troicki 7-6(5) 6-3

Troicki hasn't beaten anyone good this season so I didn't expect a lot from him in this match, but his game is seriously hackish. People like to make fun of Viktor but his game has definitely declined from where it was to get into the top 15.

Harrison played really well to get up 5-*2 in the first set, after a shaky first service game where he saved a break point. Hit the forehand very big, consistently looked to attack Troicki's second serve, cut down on the errors he made at the beginning of the match, and was dominant. At *3-5 Troicki played a strong game to break to get back into the first set, competed hard and played good defense, made a great BH passing shot to set up 15-40. But in the tiebreaker he made loose errors, and was simply too defensive. Harrison played offensive tennis and although he made some errors in the breaker, he was the more positive player and deserved to win it.

Second set Troicki fell apart predictably to fall behind *0-4 15-30, atrocious body language, looked deflated, but as in the first set started competing better at the end of the set and got one of the breaks back. Harrison then broke to win the match, needing four match points to do so.

Harrison obviously has a lot of game. His forehand looks bigger than it was last season and when he plays within himself, he's a strong player. But too many lapses overall today, too many loose errors to make it harder on himself than it should have been.

Troicki really doesn't have much of a game left at all. I'm still shocked someone with his skill level ever made it nearly to the top 10.

Ryan serving out sets
First set was decent, second was bad. But overall, Ryan showed a better than usual level of aggression.

Ryan was great except for serving for it. He won't get away with that against Murray.
Troicki has been demoted to treasurer of the Nole Fanclub.

Ryan's serving for set is epic. He is like "OMG, OMG, I am about to win it, about to win it NOW, OMG!!! *faints*"
Not funny Ryan. Not funny at all.

Hey how about that Harrison forum?

As for the match, Ryan was dominant but definitely got tight during the business ends of both sets...he did enough in the end. I know however, that the top guys won't give him 43095803928904 chances to win a match so he'll have to improve his decision making.

Make no mistake MTF members and general public...this is the future of American tennis we are witnessing and possibly a world number 1...Ryan has got skillzzz

Ryan tends to get tight when serving for sets/matches (low percentage 1st serve, regresses back behind the baseline & not attacking). He can't do this against Murray. But other than few lapses, I'm very pleased with this performance.
