Indian Wells R1: Berlocq def. Paire 6-4 6-2
Match was closer than the scoreline indicates, at least in the second set. Charly broke to love for a *3-2 lead and saved 0-30 in his nexr service game. Charly only lost seven points on serve the first set.
Berlocq opened the second set up with a break. Paire had two break points to immediately break back for 1 all and had six break points at 1-*2 and took none of them. Paire saved two break points himself at *1-3 to hold but double faulted to dump serve after saving a couple more break points to give Charly the chance to serve for the match at *5-2, which he did to 30.
From the middle of the first set onward, both players had tons of close games on serve with several openings but Charly seemingly won all the important points, like he's been doing throughout 2012, and took the victory. Great win yet again for Berlocq.

Berlocq turned it up since the double bagel at US'11... That would not happen again with the Panther's current game! He has an excellent volley btw!!

Paire had 8 breakpoints in the first 2 games of the second set. He couldn't take it and then he went mad as usual. Another really disappointing loss for the über-talented french clown.
