Yeah I did Besides my study I work part time in an Argentinian Grill restaurant but I can cook myself some stuff too mainly because I live on my own since I was 17.

It did taste well but it took some time to prepare

Thanks mate.

I like pasta a lot, prosciutto and the parmesan cheese is a good combo but I don't like pesto. It ruins your food if you put in too much of it. Try posting a picture of it..

My fave pasta must be Spaghetti Carbonara or Farfalle Bolognese.

Yeah pesto is strong, too much of it will overpower many other flavors. But with the parmesan and the prosciutto, it wasn't too strong and it helped make the filling a bit more "paste" -like.

Don't have picks about that one though . Ate it quickly with my GF, we were hungry! It's not the fastest food

A standard Uni life Sunday evening.

Got a $7 Chicken Fillet Subway (as seen in ads in Aus) for an early dinner and washed it down with Lipton Lemon Iced Tea.

For the sub:
- Bread: Italian Herbs & Cheese
- Filling: the works (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrot, onions, olives) and in addition; pickles and jalapenos.
- Sauce: Ranch.

Pesto is so simple to make, yet very tasty. Some cheats use cashews instead of pine nuts.

I don't put so much filling on my sub whenever I get one, it kills the taste to have all that vegetarian shit on it

I like onions+lettuce only. Rarely tomatoes. Hate carrots, olives, cucumbers and whatever else they have.

BBQ sauce is a must IMO. Mayo can replace it, but rarely.

I am quite conservative when it comes to food though. I don't try new things if I have something I like already. Thus I haven't tried many of the different sauces they have.

I don't know about subs, because there's not anything special on that (ham -- big deal). But I do have a similar attitude towards hamburgers, especially those 'high-end' burger places that serve premium beef (Angus/organic/whatever). I find lettuce and tomatoes pretty mild, and onions go great with beef. But I'm always surprised when I see someone paid for a premium burger and then puts lettuce, tomato, onion, relish, mustard, mayo, ketchup, pickles, bbq sauce, hot sauce, hot peppers, and anything else they can find on it! I mean you are drowning the burger patty in multiple very strong flavoured condiments. You may as well have gotten the cheapest no-name frozen burger patty from the grocery store!

I never really knew how to read/write Chinese at all. Never learned it . Good reason though, because I'd find no use for it here.

What a classic noodle soup you have there

I believe so too. But wherever you grow up, it's always hard to learn a different language no matter what it is. Well at least I can speak Cantonese reasonably fluently -- except for any other bolder words, I would have no idea how to say them or know what they mean .

Eating so much . I can't believe I'm seeing six siu mai's on a stick

Cantonese is not easy but since I grew up with this, its ok for me, but my Mandarin is horrible i was lucky that i started working more than 15 years ago, i can't survive now with my poor computer/mandarin knowledge

Just for food, for all my overseas visits, I ate the most delicious and abundant meal in Australia. It was Chinese new year at that time. Every morning, we had lots of dim sums & even abalone porridge! and for lunch and dinner, we had lobsters/crabs/shrimps

all right, thanks for talking with me, i have to leave, my boss is coming
